Biddy

Offer Biddy a home –  NOW RE-HOMED

Biddy is a lurcher, about 5 years old, who was found in an extremely emaciated state in Durham. She was taken to Strayaid who cared for her for 2 weeks. She wasn’t expected to live but she had a good fighting spirit. GRWE (Greyhound Rescue West of England) agreed to offer her a place and I asked if I could foster her until she was fully recovered.

When she was first found:

Just before she left Strayaid:

After a few weeks at Kim’s Home, she had improved dramatically, as shown in the top image on the page. Here she is on a Christmas outing to the beach:

So who is Biddy and what sort of home does she dream of?

Biddy is a very friendly, affectionate dog who wants all the cuddles, please. She is about 5 years old and about 25 inches to the shoulder.

She runs fast but comes back to her name and to the whistle. She is clean in the house, loves cuddles. She loves to be with her person all the time. But she can be left for a few hours. She sleeps upstairs in her own bed and doesn’t stir all night.

Biddy is great with other dogs, large and small. She adores people including children.

She loves to chase a ball but isn’t too bright about bringing it back.

Biddy could be homed as an only dog as long as her person was around most of the time or could take her to work.

She is an easy dog – no hang-ups, no bad habits. Well, actually, if you leave a mug of tea on the floor she will drain it to the last drop.

She will need to run free and have interesting walks but she’s not over-energetic.

And did I say that she loves cuddles – she’s asked for that to be top of her list. So she needs a sofa with at least one person on it, please – like this:
