Lily
Lily was a Saluki cross Whippet. She arrived at Kim’s Home twelve and a half years ago. She was the daughter of Suzi Saluki who lived with us from the age of 4 to 16. Both came from a local traveller site. Lily’s condition was not good. She was 8 months old, skinny and black with mange. She loved being reunited with her mother and those two always had a special bond. She was so sad when her mother died last year.
Lily was always a mischievous dog who took risks. If she was a cat she would have used up all her lives several times over. Out on a walk she could disappear in a nano second and turn up again an hour later or not at all. We are so lucky that her escapades never ended in disaster. At 13 she had mellowed a bit but still had the same wanderlust.
Lily sadly passed away on 8th September 2013, and will be greatly missed.
